It also provides a central location where other systems can access this data. The current release of UPD includes worldwide ESN management, generation, and rework.

Description of the Project:

Description: The Praxid Server Manager is a GUI tool developed using Swings. This tool handles the basic services for the Praxid Application server like registering and launching a new Application Server.

            Registering a new Application Server: This involves launching a new Application Server for a company. A new server registration can be carried to store all the deployment details of the company in a property file and the relevant application server can be started with the details.

Editing the deployment properties: This tool provides a facility to edit the already registered details and altering the details as required. These changes can be reflected the next time the application server is started.

Starting and stopping the app server: The server manager can handle n number of application servers at a time. The server can be started and stopped from the server manager using the deployment setting that are created by the tool.

Output & Error Messages: Each server started will produce o/p and error messaged of its own. These messages are displayed in a server manager console and they can be transferred to a file at any time instance.

Error Log: Any application server started will produce an error log on exception cases. The server manager will visualize the error log created till time for each and every new application server is initiated.

Error log will be generated for each workbook.

Part of this project is the repository builder application, Used to build the repository file(Property file) used for validation of the excel sheets. Constraints were stored in Oracle DB .

.    The major enhancement is that the client can migrate the data online.

.    Client uploads the all data through pre- formatted excel sheets in a zip format, after converting it to Tab delimited text format.

.     This zip file is downloaded at the Praxid server, unzipped through Java code and passed to

Verification program 2. This program will validate the data and will generates a error log

    Which will be sent immediately to the client to rectify these errors. Once the validation and

    Updation is passed the excel sheet is ready for migration.

.   Client can execute the SQL loader and Oracle Procedures remotely to initiate the migration.

.  Log generated by the Loader & Procedures will be formatted & considered as error log.

. Designed this tool using Swing components for migrating data from one database to another.

. Data to be migrated are first converted to flat files, these files form the input to this tool. Using these       

 Files temporary tables are created. After creating temporary tables the data are loaded using SQL

  Loader.

. User can create, delete and alter the data using this tool.

. User can migrate the data by single or batch processing.

. Provision is provided for mapping the columns between the temporary tables and the original tables.

. The various products which were successfully migrated the data by this tool are QuickBooks, Mas90

  And Peach Series.

. Key member of research team who are doing R&D to make this tool more efficient and generalized.

This tool facilitates complete migration of records (data) available in one ERP product to other ERP product. This comes as the support pack for the Praxid ERP product, So that the Customers can migrate Easily from the existing ERP product to Praxid ERP product.

The user has to export all the data from the existing product to flat file & to login the Tool, here after all the modifications are made as per the requirements, the data are loaded to the Praxid ERP product database using SQL Loader.

This tool also facilitates the user to set the default account setups in the Praxid ERP Product.

The ER-to-OOPS Converter provides drawing editor,which allows the user to draw

The entity relationship diagram. The customized toolbar contains the entity relation tools.

Once a tool is selected, the user can click the mouse in the client area & drag it to the desired size.

After drawing each entity, a dialog box appears where the user should enter the attributes name & type. The diagram can be showed in the binary format & is stored with an extension .ER.

After saving the file, the converter converts the ER diagram into corresponding class structure and is stored with the file name entered by the user with the extension.  .CPP.

Multiple ER diagrams can be drawn at the same time & multiple view of the ER diagram is also possible.
